A HOME FOR THE BACI FAMILY

 This family has been living for a long time in a home that looked more like a shack than a residential home. Pellumb lived there with his mother, wife and children in extremely poor economic conditions. Pellumb was also a KLA fighter. He was wounded in the war and enjoys the status of KLA veteran.

In late November 2017 Mergata LTD board decided unanimously to financially assist in the construction of a house for the family of Pellumb Baci from Shipshan village of Tropoja municipality and started raising funds. 

Construction of the house was completed in September 2018. We couldn’t be present in key-handover ceremony, but this was done on our behalf by the builder, Mr. Agim Dedaj. 

We would like to emphasize that the construction of the house lasted longer than we had anticipated. This is due to the location of the house and the fact that during the rainy periods it is almost impossible for transportation vehicles to go to the site. It was because of this that the builder has also been faced with the hesitation of tradies to take over works. 

We also want to emphasize that initial works on this house were done by Humanitarian Association “Diaspora”. We then took over this project until its completion. 

The key-handover ceremony was followed by joyful emotions. Through the below video we would like to share these emotions with You.
